The Lord Jesus Christ is the…
ABLE LION
The Lion of the Tribe of Judah is the CEO of the universe.
He loves you more than you can possibly imagine. Know him and
discover the magnificent life he has waiting for you..
KNOW THAT…
- Jesus Christ is the sinless son of God the Father
- The Father is a God of love, mercy, and peace, but it is also true that…
- The Father is a God of justice, righteousness, and perfection
- We cannot stand on our own merits before Him while we are full of our own personal ideas about ‘the way things are’, what’s important in life, how we should live our lives, the ‘meaning of life’, and so on and so on
- We, the created, deeply insult our creator when we have the galactic level of arrogance to tell Him how we have chosen to live the very lives He has graciously given us as a priceless gift that delights Him. Therefore,
- Humility is absolutely essential to know God since…
- All have fallen short of the glory of God. Don’t compare yourself with other people. God’s standards are very high, and we all fall short. Thankfully, mercifully, wonderfully, our Father God is eager for us to return to Him: He sent His Son Jesus to help us find our way back to our Father God — this fact is very humbling.
- ‘But I’m not so great at humility, at self-denial, at submitting myself humbly to anyone. So what do I do?’ Make your best effort. Think of who it is you’re addressing: the author of absolutely everything — thunder, forests, snowflakes, galaxies — and you! If your heart is sincere, the Lord of the universe will rush to your aid to strengthen your efforts
- Incredibly, despite the fact we have all turned away from Him, the Father is eager for us seek and find Him wishing ill on no one — ever! This is exciting news! He is good, kind, merciful, and long-suffering on account of his wayward, disobedient, willful children!
- Nevertheless, His patience does have an expiration date — the very moment we die and pass from this earth. So, we need to actively seek Him this very day since …
- No one is righteous on their own merits without knowing God through the program that HE has put in place to find our way back to Him. He states the terms, not us
- We need a way back to the Father. Jesus is the way back. He is our reconciliation
- Jesus paid the price for all sin, for everyone, for all time. He is faithful, steadfast, and passionate in his desire to bring us back into the kingdom of God from which we have fallen so very very far. He is our rescuer, our long lost brother!
- Through his life on earth, Jesus met the Father’s requirements for justice, righteousness, and perfection so we don’t have to. He did it for us
- Jesus did this for us precisely because we cannot do it on our own. We’re lost and the Father will not accept our solution of bridging our distance from Him through our own efforts which do not involve Jesus. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life — our lifeline!
- We are ignorant of how bad our situation really is, regularly dismissing that sneaking feeling that something’s wrong. Don’t. Start pulling on this string and don’t let go. The Lord of the universe will aid you because He loves you and wants you back in His arms!
- By default, we have no real desire to inquire into our true spiritual situation because we assume we can just do what everyone else is doing and everything will be fine
- This is a recipe for disaster! We are blind to our true standing as far as the CEO of the universe sees our situation. Hint: it ain’t good!
- So, !thankfully!, by Jesus’ complete, finished, everlasting rescue effort on our behalf, we can be returned back to a loving relationship with our maker, reestablished to the very place in the universe where we rightly belong, the place that the Father himself carved out for us, safe and sound in His never ending love
- This is why Christians say strange things like “Hallelujah!” Hallelujah!
- Christians know what God has done for them. And is eager to do for you!!!
- This world does not love us. It is not in the nature of the world to love anyone. Nothing escapes its nature. We were born into this world. Do the math
- God doesn’t want anything from you other than your turning toward Him and giving Him your attention, focus, interest, enthusiasm — everything you’ve got, in short, your love.
- As our creator, He deserves only the very best that you have to offer. Nothing else is worthy to offer Him. Give him everything you have, and he will give you everthing He has. Ask yourself, ‘Who gets the better end of this deal?’
- At the end of one’s life, after a ‘full worldly life’, lies destruction and eternal separation from God whether you’re a nobody schlub or a famous movie star. It doesn’t matter. The Lord is kind and loving, but it is foolish to assume you know Him and what life is all about without inquiring very carefully into whether the promises in the Bible are true or false.
- Some very intelligent, sharp-minded, thoroughly cynical critics of the Bible, such as Sir William Ramsay, Simon Greenleaf, Richard Lumsden, and Lee Strobel, have been deeply humbled having sought with all their might to disprove the authenticity of the Bible. After much effort, each reversed course and became staunch advocates and enthusiastic believers in the life-affirming truth of the Bible after having proven to themselves the absolute, incontrovertible fact that ‘scripture cannot be broken’
- The idea of ‘hyper grace’ or God’s no-holds-barred complete endless love for us is not inherently true. His love, or full acceptance, is conditional upon us overcoming our worldly, self-centered nature through the free gift of grace offered through His son Jesus Christ
- We won’t desire to come back to God if we are in love with the world and ourselves
- Part of us may see the folly of a worldly, self-centered life, but to escape this prison, we need His help to break us out of the trap
- This loud, in-your-face world is the very embodiment of separation from God since it operates on the basis of personal, independent action, namely, ‘sin’, that is, living your life without God as the center of your being which leads inexorably to death and permanent separation from your creator
- The Father put a piece of himself in each of us. Each person is a wonderful creation
- He knows us better than we know ourselves because he made us!
- Why are Christians so in love with Jesus? Because they have discerned and accepted the fact that Jesus lowered himself to our level while suffering intensely as a person in the world in order to make a way back for us.
- However you live your life, whatever it is you believe, it is patently unwise to trivialize the death of Jesus on the cross in any way since we have all wandered away from Him, our safety, which is the person of Jesus Christ. Press into this with all that you have and you will see that it is a fact, not a compelled opinion of those who follow Jesus
- At the center of the universe you will not find autonomous, mechanistic, metaphysical forces as science vainly attempts to prove; You will instead find the personalities of God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit of God. Yes, the universe is a friendly place to those who make a sincere, heartfelt effort get on board with the way that it really works. Start knocking on the door and do not stop! Seek and you will find!
- Are Christians perfect then? Hardly. They are however works in progress who have escaped a life of the dissolution, degradation, and death we are subject to in this realm by virtue of the 2nd law of thermodynamics. There’s no way out, the cake is baked, it’s a done deal in this world. This world is not your friend because it is ruled by sin which takes you away from God not toward Him. You must rise above it, but you can’t do it on your own — you need help, you need Jesus!
- Christians are everyday people who simply decided to put aside their own desires in favor of the free gift of life that Jesus offers to every person on the earth as the good shepherd of God’s lost sheep. Take it for yourself and live!
- Christians who walk in humility and strive for obedience each day to the Lord of all creation, Jesus, can sense His presence in their lives through the Holy Spirit who ministers to Jesus’ followers encouraging them and strengthening them each and every day.
- It’s not a mass delusion, or an idiosyncratic, personal ‘head trip’ or ‘spiritual high’; it is instead a very real practical process by which Jesus perfects those who accept His love and care. Some of us take a whole lot of work to shake off our old ways (which is why we came to Him in the first place), so please, be supportive and kind!
- The Father is forever perfect, we are not: if there is an error in judgment, it’s coming from us, not Him.
- It’s up to us to turn toward Him and accept the free gift of salvation offered by His son Jesus Christ, but, know that…
- God will never compel us to love Him or give our lives over to Him. He respects us and our being since He endowed us with His qualities, namely, independence and a perfectly free will, and He therefore lets us walk in life as we choose — with Him or without Him.
- It must be our free, conscious, personal choice to come to know Him. We are utterly free in thought and action in every conceivable way! Don’t use your perfect freedom to deny the very one who gave it to you!; instead, turn it into a strength by inviting Him into your life!
- Our judgment is often clouded. Knowing Jesus brings a refreshing clarity to the mind
- If there is confusion in anyone’s life, it does not come from the Father since He is the unerring source of truth, honor, goodness; of peace, of deep shalom — of love He is love itself
- We actively choose to have a life apart from Him. It’s set in stone through our birth, our lineage, our ancestors. We are fallen beings who have lost our intimate knowledge of our Father, our creator. Waywardness is our default setting.
- Why do media enterprises such as Harry Potter speak so stridently about what group you belong in, about lineages, about class associations? Because this is the way the world works. Get out of it forever by knowing Jesus who said to Pontius Pilate ‘My kingdom is not of this world’ Neither is yours as a child of God! Get free!
- Remember, any recurring unease you’ve felt your entire life might very well be God tugging at you telling you to change direction.
- Earnestly Seek Him, and you will find Him! (Deuteronomy 4:29; Matthew 7:7)
- God is not the author of the pain and misery and suffering in this world. These sad, terrible conditions are instead a direct result of lives lived without God
- He made the universe and gave his followers the keys of dominion over everything in this world. It’s why they are hated so. The systems of this world do not want to hand over their false, stolen, illegal authority.
- This world rightly belongs to God and His children, but when we left the safety of the Father, we let in a usurper onto the throne of this world, a viscous enemy of everything honest, good, kind, and wholesome — our true heritage!
- There’s a savage, unscrupulous, marauding force in the world that unlawfully seized wide-ranging institutional world power a very long time ago (John 10:10).
- Jesus rendered that lamentable, unnatural, evil usurper null and void for all time and for all people giving his followers complete power over ‘snakes and scorpions’ (Luke 10:19).
- Jesus came to give to its rightful heirs all that has been stolen from the children of God who are redeemed through His life’s work. The usurper does not want to go peacefully. He needs to be thrown out.
- Have you ever wondered why it’s OK to speak of God in the world, but not so much the name of Jesus? Because there is power in the name to destroy evil, so evil hates it because it is its undoing, its unraveling, its dissolution, its doom
- Jesus is the eternal Son of God sent here to save souls and drive out anything that keeps us from knowing who we really are — God’s beloved children! He is always there for you, and He delights in His mission to save us from our own stupidity
- All praise and honor and love forever and ever to God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit who guides us to all truth!
